Hello,

I'm trying to install MapR M3 V5.0 on a VM in Azure.

I've selected CentOS 7.0 and add a 20 GB disk (sdc). The install is for test purpose, I need only 1 node.

This is what return lsblk :

NAME   MAJ:MIN RM  SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
    fd0      2:0    1    4K  0 disk
    sda      8:0    0   30G  0 disk
    äîìäîósda1   8:1    0   29G  0 part /
    äîîäîósda2   8:2    0 1000M  0 part
    sdb      8:16   0  285G  0 disk
    äîîäîósdb1   8:17   0  285G  0 part /mnt/resource
    sdc      8:32   0   20G  0 disk
    sdd      8:48   0  100G  0 disk

The install crash on format disk, the error message is :

Failed to format /dev/sdc for MapR-FS. Review /opt/mapr/logs/disksetup.0.log, address the reported issues and retry installation

The /opt/mapr/logs/disksetup.0.log indicate the message :

This is the result of fdisk -l /dev/sdc

    Disk /dev/sdc: 21.5 GB, 21474836480 bytes, 41943040 sectors
    Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
    Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    Disk label type: dos
    Disk identifier: 0x000cd473

Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System

I have the problem on a VM in VirtualBox on my computer with the same configuration.

Have you some ideas ?

Thanks.
