NPE thrown from NetworkedJob.isComplete even after hadoop job completes succesfully

Question asked by pmandavalli on Sep 15, 2015
Hi,

I am working on mapr-3.1.0 version.
I encounter Null Pointer Exception when a job is completed successfully.
The stack trace is as below

Exception in thread "main" cascading.flow.FlowException: unhandled exception
    at cascading.flow.BaseFlow.complete(BaseFlow.java:918)
   .....
    at org.apache.hadoop.util.RunJar.main(RunJar.java:197)
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
    at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.JobClient$NetworkedJob.isComplete(JobClient.java:350)
    at cascading.flow.hadoop.planner.HadoopFlowStepJob.internalBlockOnStop(HadoopFlowStepJob.java:101)
    at cascading.flow.planner.FlowStepJob.stop(FlowStepJob.java:96)
    at cascading.flow.BaseFlow.internalStopAllJobs(BaseFlow.java:1282)
    at cascading.flow.BaseFlow.run(BaseFlow.java:1179)
    at cascading.flow.BaseFlow.access$100(BaseFlow.java:78)
    at cascading.flow.BaseFlow$1.run(BaseFlow.java:834)
    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745)

Due to this, the job stops abruptly and I have to kick off successive flows manually.
Any pointers will be a huge help.

Thanks,
Pallavi
