Given a set of order numbers for one customer, how does one access multiple order numbers in a parallel, set-level manner via SCAN? Rather than coding a GET loop - 1 by 1?

Can you elaborate on what you are trying to do? MapRDB is accessible through the HBase API:
To retrieve contents of rows you can use the "Get" or "Scan" APIs. Get returns the row associated with the explicitly requested key. Scan returns all rows found within a range specified by a start and end row key and can optionally return a subset of the rows in the range based on a Filter.
