Hi, I have just downloaded the Hadoop Sandbox VMware and attempting the NFS mounting tutorial.
https://www.mapr.com/products/mapr-sandbox-hadoop/tutorials/tutorial-how-to-mount-mapr-cluster-using-nfs

The showmount command output was as follows:
----------------------------------
Export list for localhost:
/mapr                              *
/mapr/demo.mapr.com   *
------------------------------------
since the /mapr directory already existed, I skipped the step of creating a /mapr directory(but this directory has root as the owner)

Then I got stucked at step 5 to mount the cluster. The command I used was :

$sudo mount –t nfs –o nolock 192.168.197.175:/mapr  /mapr   (192.168.197.175 is the IP of the Sandbox VM)

after typing in password for 'mapr', I received an error 'mapr is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported'.
 1. What should I do to make the statement work?
 2. Also, Should the IP address be the Hadoop Sandox server IP or should it be the Window Client on which I  want the NFS mounted on?

Appreciate your help and attention.
