I installed the latest version of mapr ( using quickinstall on RHEL 6.5. Everything comes up ok, but the HBASE region server doesnt (NFS gateway is also goes down, hope no dependency on that). <BR>
I am using OpenJDK 7 which was installed along with MapR.
In hbase logs I can see error:

There are several discussion on the web related to files generated using protobuf 2.4.1 ([here][1])
There is a newer version on hbase at apache, but dont think I can just use it with MapR directly. Any help ?
