OK,
So I've RTFM'd the documentation on setting up Kerberos for MapR 3.1 and set up my principal, installed Kerberos workstation, etc...  I've also run the configure.sh to Kerberize my 3 node cluster.  I have the mapr keytab file in /opt/mapr/conf and copied over krb5.conf file.

So now I run the maprlogin (after doing kinit and generating ticket) with the following;

    maprlogin kerberos -cluster mapr310 -duration 36000

and what I get back is this;

    Failure during kerberos authentication. Unable to connect to any of the cluster's CLDBs. CLDBs tried: <hostname>:7443. Please check your cluster configuration.

my mapr-cluster.conf is as follows;
mapr310 secure=true kerberosEnable=true cldbPrincipal=mapr/mapr310 <hostname>:7222

I'm not a MapR superstar, so will need a bit of (in)direction here to help me dig myself out of this one.  Thank you all in advance for your eyes on this and your help in digging out.

mit Freundlichen GrüÃÿen (with Friendly Greetings),

Jan Peters
