How to make replication happen more quickly

I'm trying to decommission a few disks in my cluster. I am able to do so successfully, but I need to make sure that volume replication stays up so that I do not lose any data. After removing a disk from the cluster, I got low data replication alarms, which is to be expected, but it's been about an hour now and the alarms are still active. There is less than 1 GB of data on the volumes that need to replicate. Why would it be taking so long, and what can I do to speed this process up? Note that there isn't traffic to the cluster, so I can temporarily use all cluster resources to speed up replication.

**Update:** Most of the alarms have gone away now, but my question stands. How do I re-replicate faster? It appears that exactly 1 hour after the alarms are triggered the re-replication happens.
