Windows 2008 NFS access using UNC path

I have a customer who is testing out access to the NFS export from their Windows 2008 Enterprise 64-bit SP2 server.  The requirement is to have their application, that runs as a service, pull files from a NFS mount using the UNC path.  The permissions deny access to anonymous.  The instructions at http://doc.mapr.com/display/MapR/Accessing+Data+with+NFS were followed for the Windows client using AD lookup; an access denied error was received.

I have not tested Windows 2008 SP1 and Windows 2008 R2.  I get the same error with the former but it works with the later.  The Windows 2008 server isn't passing the UID/GID values mapped in AD.  I haven't found a report bug with that version of Windows or a workaround.

The customer is in the process of upgrading their servers to Windows 2008 R2.  If anybody comes across a fix for this issue on Windows 2008 please share.
