Environment: RHEL 6
Version Mapr 3.0.2
We performed the following steps:

We installed mapr tarballs downloaded from the MapR site on our Linux boxes as root.
1. Created a 'mapr' user assigning full control using the maprcli. This user doesn't have a password.
2. Started zookeeper and warden successfully as mapr. mapr user belongs to the group mapr and the group hadoop.
3. Created another linux user 'adminuser' that also belongs to the group hadoop.
4. Used maprcli to assign Admin Access to adminuser as per guidelines in Managing Permissions in the MapR documentation. adminuser has a password.
5. Restarted warden.
6. Tried to login to adminuiapp https://<hostname>:8443 using adminuser credentials.
7. Got the following errors in adminuiapp.log

INFO com.mapr.adminuiapp.commands.LoginCallable [337692934@qtp-1083228271-2]:validateUser: User:adminuser, Module: mapr-admin, PamReturn: 7 (Authentication failure.)
INFO com.mapr.adminuiapp.commands.LoginCallable [337692934@qtp-1083228271-2]:validateUser: User:adminuser, Module: sudo, PamReturn: 6 (Permission denied.)
INFO com.mapr.adminuiapp.commands.LoginCallable [337692934@qtp-1083228271-2]:validateUser: User:adminuser, Module: sshd, PamReturn: 6 (Permission denied.)
INFO com.mapr.adminuiapp.commands.LoginCallable [337692934@qtp-1083228271-2]:validateUser: Failed for user: adminuser

1. Configured a PAM profile /etc/pam.d/mapr-admin similar to the one shown in PAM configuration.
2. Restarted zookeeper and warden

We still cannot login to the adminuiapp using the adminuser. We cannot login using the mapr user because it is a system user and does not have a password. Anyone have any other ideas?
