Hi,

I am installing M3 in a 5-node cluster. When I execute disksetup script, I am running into the error 'Error 19, No such device. Missing device file'. Looking for some help in troubleshooting it.

Following are the disks and partitions, in one of the nodes

    Disk /dev/sda: 1099.5 GB, 1099511627776 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 133674 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
    Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    Disk identifier: 0x00060def

       Device Boot      Start         End      Blocks   Id  System
    /dev/sda1   *           1          64      512000   83  Linux
    Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
    /dev/sda2              64      133675  1073228800   8e  Linux LVM

    Disk /dev/mapper/vg_maprdev02-lv_root: 53.7 GB, 53687091200 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 6527 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
    Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    Disk identifier: 0x00000000

    Disk /dev/mapper/vg_maprdev02-lv_swap: 8405 MB, 8405385216 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 1021 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
    Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    Disk identifier: 0x00000000

    Disk /dev/mapper/vg_maprdev02-lv_home: 1036.9 GB, 1036890669056 bytes
    255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 126061 cylinders
    Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
    Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
    Disk identifier: 0x00000000

`/dev/mapper/vg_maprdev02-lv_home` is the partition I am trying to format and use it for cluster storage. It's LVM, so I am using block device's path

    # ls -l /dev/mapper/vg_maprdev02-lv_home
    lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 7 Nov  7 16:57 /dev/mapper/vg_maprdev02-lv_home -> ../dm-2

    # cat /tmp/disks.txt
    /dev/mapper/dm-2

**I had unmounted the partition** `/dev/mapper/vg_maprdev02-lv_home` and executed disksetup. I am getting the following error

    # /opt/mapr/server/disksetup -F /tmp/disks.txt
    /dev/mapper/dm-2 failed. Error 19, No such device. Missing device file.

Extract from the log **disksetup.0.log**

Could you please guide me into the right direction to resolve this?
