RAID and MApR

I understand that MapR is meant to be used with multiple copies with no RAID.

What problems could I suffer if I use MapR with software raid6(mdadm) and have two copies? disksetup would use /dev/mdxx devices as MapR disks.

I know Mapr detects drive failures using a timeout but mdadm would do that here. I see good performance with mdadm and jbods.
