Startup Sequence not Starting CLDB

Hi all, a friend of mine is trying to get a single node setup for testing, he's running 2.1.3.19871.GA.   On this box, we've installed all services, however, we are having some weird startup issues.

First of all, we've disabled the services from starting at boot. That's so we can ensure the proper order.  However, in the past, I've always been able to get things started by starting the Zookeeper(s) waiting 30 seconds, then starting the CLDB node (in this case it's a single node etc)  However in looking at the logs, the CLDB isn't started, there is nothing put in the cldb.log file.  It's like the warden just ignores the CLDB.

The /opt/mapr/roles/ directory has cldb... he's reran config and it shows the that cldb role is added, but the warden ignores it.  However, when he executes
<code>

/etc/init.d/mapr-cldb restart
</code>

then waits a bit and does
<code>
/etc/init.d/mapr-mfs restart
</code>
things come up and the cldb works as intended.

Any thoughts?
