TaskTracker.getMapRHostname throwing NPE in standalone mode

While trying to run a Sqoop job using standalone MapR Hadoop I'm getting the following exception:

at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.CentralTaskLogUtil.<clinit>(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskStatus.<init>(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.MapTaskStatus.<init>(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskStatus.createTaskStatus(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.Task.<init>(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.MapTask.<init>(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.LocalJobRunner$
    Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskTracker.getMapRHostname(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskTracker.initializeHostname(
at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskTracker.<clinit>(
... 7 more

I can't step into the MapR code for `TaskTracker.getMapRHostname()`, so I'm not sure what it's doing there that's not working. Could anyone help me understand what it is doing?

We are including `hadoop-core-1.0.3-mapr` when running and I have `` and `mapred.job.tracker=local` in the configuration.

Thanks for the help,
