HBase running fine on Wireless. Does not start when connected over a LAN

I have recently installed MapR M3 edition (single node with all services running) on my laptop with HBase 0.92.2. It is working properly on a wireless network with different IP address at various places - (home, work etc)

But, when connected to a LAN (wi-fi is turned off) and warden is restarted, HBase is not starting up. Tried the same by changing the host names file - used the IP instead of 127.0.0.1, but HBase still does not come up. Faced none of these issues while connecting over wi-fi.

How can I connect my laptop to a LAN and get HBase up and running?
