compute-only

Do I need to do anything to the /compute-only rack to make it truly a 'compute only' rack? I've followed the instructions in the mapr documentation for a diskless compute note (by putting it into the compute-only rack), but the node still comes up with a critical error due to having no disks. Is there a way to remedy this?

Additionally, is there a way to specify a disk is for local (map) use only and NOT for MapR-FS use? This would allow us to experiment with a diskless node without endangering data when the node is bounced offline for testing.
