Is there a way to change the permissions that userlog get set too?  We would like to set the group to something all the users belong too (so not root).  This way if one user kicks off a job, another can look at the logs to analyze.

the location is:
/opt/mapr/hadoop/hadoop-0.20.2/logs/userlogs

Userlogs is owned by:
drwxr-xr-x 817 root root     73728 Jan 10 20:21 userlogs

User files are set with the following types of permissions, making it only the owner of the job who can access it.
drwxr-s---  18 bob    root  4096 Jan 10 20:17 job_201301091137_1145
drwxr-s---  34 sue     root  4096 Jan 10 20:19 job_201301091137_1146
drwxr-s---  69 steve     root  4096 Jan 10 20:21 job_201301091137_1147
drwxr-s---  64 amy     root  4096 Jan 10 20:22 job_201301091137_1148
