**When install mapr(M3) on a 5 node cluster, a roles file should be like this:**

mapr-node001 mapr-fileserver,mapr-tasktracker,mapr-metrics,mapr-cldb,mapr-webserver /dev/sdb1,/dev/sdb2,/dev/sdc
mapr-node002 mapr-fileserver,mapr-tasktracker,mapr-metrics,mapr-nfs,mapr-jobtracker /dev/sdb1,/dev/sdb2,/dev/sdc
mapr-node003 mapr-fileserver,mapr-tasktracker,mapr-zookeeper /dev/sdb1,/dev/sdb2,/dev/sdc
mapr-node004 mapr-fileserver,mapr-tasktracker,mapr-zookeeper /dev/sdb1,/dev/sdb2,/dev/sdc
mapr-node005 mapr-fileserver,mapr-tasktracker,mapr-zookeeper /dev/sdb1,/dev/sdb2,/dev/sdc

**but what I want is just HDFS, the mapr-tasktracker, mapr-jobtracker,etc. seem not necessary, would someone please tell me what is the minimum service set when using MAPR as HDFS?**

and when I make any node down(unplug network wire or switch off power), does the whole cluster remain in service and data stored on the cluster not affected?
