Hello- I'm running a small v2.0.0 (Hadoop hadoop-0.20.2) cluster and am trying to run a Map Reduce job via the debugger in NetBeans 7.2 The job starts and connects with the CLDB, but fails to connect to the JT(JobTracker):
<pre>
INFO fs.JobTrackerWatcher: Current running JobTracker is: hd9.yyy.zzz/111.222.254.237:9001
INFO ipc.RPC: Attempt# 3 . Trying to connect Server at hd9.yyy.zzz/111.222.254.237:9001
WARN ipc.RPC: Error connecting server at hd9.yyy.zzz/111.222.254.237:9001 java.net.SocketException: Call to hd9.yyy.zzz/111.222.254.237:9001 failed on socket exception
INFO ipc.RPC: Tried all servers sleeping
</pre>
This repeats for ever until I kill it.

I can telnet to port 9001 on the JT, so I don't suspect network or iptables type issues. There is no sign of any activity in the Hadoop JobTracker log when the connection is trying to be made.

However, if I login as user 'mapr' (generic user defined in standard install), I can submit the same job via the command line and it runs as expected.

Any suggestions?
