solr on the NFS mount

Solr refuses to start when the core is loaded from /mapr/my.cluster.com/solr (our hadoop export)

How do we get mapr-nfs to play nice with solr? Have already tried to adjust locking via the options - <lockType>none</lockType> and so on.

The error is the following:
