HostStats: "2 of 1 instances running"?

I've deployed an M3 cluster of 3 nodes so far. According to the deployment guide, I should have 3 instances of FileServer and TestTracker running.

The services menu says that for HostStats, I have "2 of 1 instances running". I have 2 questions about this:

 1. Does HostStats need to run on every node? Any reasons why it may not be running on the 3rd node?

 2. Why shouldn't it say "2 of 2" or "2 of 3" instances running?

The GUI says that HostStats isn't configured on the 3rd node. There is a /opt/mapr/logs/hoststats.log file, with only this:

`**** starting hoststats **** args: 5660 /opt/mapr/logs/TaskTracker.stats
**** starting hoststats **** args: 5660 /opt/mapr/logs/TaskTracker.stats`

Another weird thing: the services panel says that FileServer and TaskTracker have "3 of 1 instances running". Shouldn't this be 3 of 3?
