we have a issue, user trying to connect from Eclipse to a Mapr cluster. User mapr ticket is already generated. Is there a way that User should define the same ticket from Eclipse as well. if so, how to do it.
Does the user have a mapr client installed on his / her machine?
Where is the ticket located?
Thanks for Reply,
No , user have not installed Mapr Client installed on his machine. Just checked it
Ok... so that's the first problem.
You need to make sure the client machine is MapR cluster aware.
Keys Botzum, you wrote an article back in 2012 on this topic... (Yes Google is my friend. ;-)
You can find hit here: Basic Notes on Configuring Eclipse as a Hadoop Development Environment for MapR | MapR
Since this is sooo old, do you have anything to add?
(maybe update it? ;-) )
Aravind Ananthanathan, that article should be a good place to start. Key's is pretty thorough in his write ups, however 6.0 is a bit different than 4.x and the cluster is secure. (You may also want to check to see if someone wrote an eclipse plugin. )
I haven't had time to update the article, but it was written with security in mind so the instructions there should work on a secure cluster.
