Way to delete hbase rows based on conditional (eg. SQL-esque where)?

Have an hbase table (actually a MapR DB table, since I'm using mapr 6.0) of the form

colfam1: acolfam1: bcolfam1: c
a1b1c1
a2b2=123c2
a3b3=123c3

Is there a way to do delete all rows that have colfam1:b=123 in a batch way?

Eg. doing something like

delete * from table where colfam1:b = 123

Tried creating ann external hive table on the hbase table and deleting from there, but apparently this is not possible for hbase / maprDB tables.
