I would like to create a jupyterhub as a service in MapR using a docker container, Please can anyone help how to create this as s service in MapR using the Docker container
Hello Jalendhar Reddy. Does the following help you in any way How To Use Jupyter & PySpark on MapR ?
Hi MUFEED USMAN Sorry I am able create the Jupyter with pySpark ,,,, But My requirement is creating the JupyterHub for running the multiple instances of the jupyter notebook for each individual user, I think now you got ..
Thank you for clarifying Jalendhar Reddy. Unfortunately, I do not have enough knowledge to assist you in that area.
Community Manager Not sure who is the right resource to reach out to for this. Would you know, either MapR internal employees or Community folks whom you have seen assisting with this? Thanks.
Thanks, Mufeed. Will route internally to see if anyone has experience implementing jupyter notebook before.
Appreciate it Community Manager.
I have worked with Jupyter Hub and the Extendable Spawner interface. In my setup, I had a containerized Jupyter Hub, that would launch user containers upon login to JupyterHub. Spawners · jupyterhub/jupyterhub Wiki · GitHub
That said, I needed to use the Marathon spawner at the time due to my cluster/orchestrator being based on Mesos and Marathon.
You say you are using Docker, are you using an orchestrator such as Kubernetes or Marathon? That could help provide some ideas on how to approach the question as posed.
Thanks John Omernik for your answer, We are not using the any orchestrator for Docker , And I would like to launch this Docker container as a root with my jupyterhub .But MapR always launch the services with the Cluster Admin user. DO you have any idea about how to start the serives in MapR as root user instead of cluster admin user?
