6.0.1: Using MapR Installer after manual install

I have upgraded our community cluster to 6.0.1 using manual means, and now I am trying to enable metrics for MCS historical information in MCS for "Utilization Trends" and other graphical displays. I understood (perhaps wrongly) that the MapR Installer could be used to enable  MapR Monitoring, but now that I have it running it seems to only be wanting to do a fresh install.

It seems like "probe" might be my solution, but when I attempt to run it, I get an error that I don't know how to interpret:

[mapr@hd10:/opt/mapr/installer/bin]# /opt/mapr/installer/bin/mapr-installer-cli probe -n -o config.ssh_id=root config.ssh_password=xxxxx  config.hosts='["hd1","hd2","hd3",..."hd10"]' > /tmp/location.yaml

ERROR: Please provide the correct installer admin username/ password. Refer to the -u/ --url parameter for usage

The nodes were installed using root with the same password; I don't understand what to include for -u
