Is best I/O scheduler for mapr on VMware?
The recommendation for VMware is "deadline".
However, since MapR storage uses block devices, I think "noop" is suited, is it correct?
Recommend you to check Job Scheduling on what we support.
Thank you for your quick response.
But,I'm sorry for lack of explanation. What I want to know is I/O scheduling of the OS, not YARN's scheduling.
Could you provide more detail? I'm not sure what you're attempting to do...
Why do you want to run MapR on top of VMWare?
I'm sorry for the late response. We had to propose clusters because the customer's system was built with VMware premise.
Recommend you to check Michael's suggestion posted at https://community.mapr.com/message/60412-mapr-as-a-vm-datastore.
Thank you for the information.
I will use this as a reference.
