Hello,

I am trying to clean up a filesystem, by looking for files which haven't been accessed in over a year.

But, I notice a couple of weird things. For example, below, atime is earlier than mtime, and when I "read" a file the atime doesn't get updated.

0-10:33 djh@mapr-01 ~> ls -l /mapr/cluster/path/to/foo
total 301
-rw-rw-rw- 1 prod prod 27890 Feb 18 2015 fooFeatures
0-10:33 djh@mapr-01 ~> ls -l --time=atime /mapr/cluster/path/to/foo
total 301
-rw-rw-rw- 1 prod prod 27890 Feb 5 2015 fooFeatures
0-10:33 djh@mapr-01 ~> cat /mapr/cluster/path/to/foo/fooFeatures >/dev/null
0-10:34 djh@mapr-01 ~> ls -l --time=atime /mapr/cluster/path/to/foo
total 301
-rw-rw-rw- 1 prod prod 27890 Feb 5 2015 fooFeatures
