I am trying to add nodes to my mapr cluster. However, when I login I don't get anything pertaining to 'Extend' cluster or add nodes or anything. Is there a place on the command line where I can go?
Recommend you to check out How to add nodes and let us know if it is helpful or if you have additional questions.
Did you originally install MapR using the Installer - and are you running it from the node where you ran the initial install?
Yes, I used the installer, but for some reason, it shows up with the screen on the post. My other cluster has the extend option but this one doesn't. I was trying to find documentation to seed the web interface to no avail. I think I might just build another cluster.
If you run rpm -qa | grep installer on both systems, what versions of the installer are you running? Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to seed the web interface.
Is that the version also running on the system that does show the extend option?
I also may have been hasty in saying you couldn't seed the installer. It looks like perhaps you can....(I knew it was coming, just wasn't aware it was released).
Here's information on that: Using probe and import to Generate the Installer Database
Were you able to get your cluster extended?
