Is configure.sh on Ubuntu 16.04 in a broken state?

Cathy Liu This came up in one of the internal Slack channels (with MapR) at StreamSets. Thought I could draw some attention to it via the Community as well.

(As reported):

It looks like MapR 6.0's use of configure.sh on Ubuntu 16.04 may be broken because of line 298 in /opt/mapr/initscripts/mapr-warden on Ubuntu. Running the command it uses to generate the core dump directory gives

|/usr/share/apport
.
.
.
.

which, when appended to the invocation of Warden, breaks it completely. We fixed it for ourselves with some `sed` magic.
