I have couple of questions about execution engine coming with Hive 2.1

I recently downloaded MapR 5.2 sandbox and playing around with it.

For hive 2.1, i see mapreduce is deprecated and recommending to use tez or spark as an execution engine.

is mapreduce still the default execution engine in hive 2.1 ?

do you guys support spark as an execution engine in hive 2.1?

or do you guys encourage using Spark sql integrated with hive ?
