I'm especially interested in properties that are different from Kafka properties.
MapR-ES always blocks.
Kafka can set this to false and will raise an exception on send.
MapR-ES always retries.
Kafka can disable but then risk message loss on the producer side.
MapR-ESalways behaves as if acks=all.
This is also the recommended Kafka setting.
Controls parallel write behaviors. MapR-ES' streams.parallel.flushers.per.partition is very similar in intent.
If Kafka is 0 and MapR-ES’ is false, then messages are always published in order.
For reference, see the 5.1 MapR user documentation, Differences in Configuration Parameters for Producers and Consumers.
