Reschronization among the containers that remained active (and contain changes) and the containers that were offline is highly efficient-it's a delta resync.
MapR-FS stores version numbers on every inode (and for every block). The two container copies (resync-src and resync-dst) exchange their maximum version numbers in an initial handshake. Then, the resync algorithm optimally reads only the changed blocks/inodes and transmits them. Both the read and the transmit are compressed blocks.
