Hi, i am using Streamsets which uses sdc user for most activities. I have read how to add impersonation in MapR but do I need to restart the cluster? If so how do I restart in Web UI (possible?) or have to use maprcli?
I got it sorted out. It was due to an error on the core-site.xml that cause
the restart to fail thus did not take in the changes to sdc proxy user. My
Please note that I have converted your post into a question. Here are the differences between discussions and questions: Questions are typically for right/wrong format so people can get a quick guide on what could work. We work under the assumption that members are struggling with a malfunctioning environment, so we try to have questions answered as soon as possible. Furthermore, to help people answer more questions, we mark those answered fast to bring the unanswered forward. Discussions in the other hand can remain open and are not intended to be right or wrong but rather, to your point, an exchange of opinions.
Please provide more details about your environment and which documentation you were following to implement impersonation.
I would imagine that you would have to restart the cluster.
For the UI there are two ways...
You can click on the nodes link on the left hand side of the UI, just under the dashboard.
From there you can either click on the managed services which will start/stop/restart services on the entire cluster....
Click on each node in the cluster, scroll down and you can start/stop each service running on the cluster.
Glad to hear that you found your own resolution and appreciate you share your finding with us for everyone to learn.
If you want to restart the cluster, first you have to stop warden and then zookeeper;
$service mapr-warden stop
$service mapr-zookeeper stop
Then start zookeeper and warden
$service mapr-zookeeper start
$service mapr-warden start
