What Happens If the Gateway Fails After a Synchronous Write is Acknowledged?

If a table is in synchronous mode then writes to the table are acknowledged when they reach the gateway (in other words, the gateway has them cached in memory). The gateway batches so the writes stay in memory for a brief period—until flushed.

If a client writes to MapR-DB, 1) the write is replicated to the gateway and acknowledged, 2) the write is acknowledged back to the client, and 3) then the gateway fails.
