What does "PutsInLastTenSeconds" count? If I do a put with one row key, three column families and 60 columns is that one put or 60?
PutsInLastTenSeconds is the number of rows (any number of columns in that row) that client application has put. So in your example it would be 1 put (not 60).
If same row is modified multiple times using different HBASE PUT APIs then each put would be counted separately.
Hi Jon Strayer, can you please provide more context?
In a command like this:
maprcli node list -json | grep 'PutsInLastTenSeconds'
Assume I get a number like 1,857,243. Is that the total number of times each client did a put no matter how much data is involved?
Going back to my original question, If I do a put with one row key, three column families and 60 columns is that one put or 60?
