I am trying to perform the lab Using direct-access NFS
However can you confirm the instructions are correct or do we need to mount the directory.
seems the same as accessing the standard hadoop.
Lab 8.1 illustrates the difference between using standard Hadoop to modify cluster files, and using Direct-Access NFS. So, the first part of the lab IS standard Hadoop. Since HDS if an append-only file system - to modify a cluster file, you have to move it out of the cluster, delete the old one from the cluster, make your modifications, and copy it back into the cluster. In the second part of the lab you run the same operation using Direct-Access NFS, and you can use vi to edit the file directly in the cluster.
The yarn wordcount job is simply run to verify that the file was modified.
Please provide information on what course/lesson/lab number you are asking about.
It is ADM 202 8.1 the Direct access NFS. It seems like the standard Hadoop. How does the yarn command now how to access that folder and I had to sudo it too create.
Please explain what is supposed to happen.
