I have no any icons in HUE and no Pig editor in Query Editors as well. how to fix that?
It looks like this tutorial is not up to date with the current version of Hue, which does not have the icons. We'll put that on the list to get updated and in the meantime you can use the names instead of the icons, for example 'File Browser' appears in the upper right corner instead of the icon.
There is also one additional step you'll need to do before running this tutorial:
- Select 'Step 2: Examples' and select 'Oozie Editor / Dashboard' to install the tutorial files.
We need more information. What was the procedure you used to install MapR?
The Hue icon files are usually all off of this directory:
the files should be installed as part of 'mapr-hue-base', which gets installed when you install the 'mapr-hue' package. If you are on Ubuntu try this to see what packages are installed:
dpkg --get-selections | grep mapr-hue
you should see 'mapr-hue' and 'mapr-hue-base'.
Hi Nick, thank you for reply,
I did not setup setup anything, I am using your sandbox virtual machine ( MapR 5.2 Sandbox) https://www.mapr.com/products/mapr-sandbox-hadoop/download and is following tutorials:
1.Hue Tutorial Part 1: FileBrowser, Metastore Manager and Beeswax | MapR
2. Hue Tutorial Part 2: Pig, Job Designer and Oozie | MapR
In this tutorials you can find steps like:
I have no those icons in HUE. It is not said anywhere in tutorials, that I should make any additional steps to install icons or Pig.
