Replace a MapR-FS disk

I'm trying to replace a larger disk with a smaller one. I have added the second disk, but it seems that I can't remove the original disk:

mapr@dev-back1:~$ maprcli disk remove -disks /dev/vdd -host dev-back3

ERROR (151) -  Failed operation for disk /dev/vdd, Operation may bring down cluster due to loss of cluster meta-data

Is there any way to work this around? I assumed that removing a disk would force MapR to move all data to other disks, but it seems that it's not capable to move data to other disks on demand.
