As per the example given in DEV 301 for ReceiptsDriver, the eclipse environment is showing that Job class is deprecated.
What should be done?
It's actually the constructor that is deprecated, not the Job class. Look at the constructors in the API doc below -- you'll see the Job(Configuration, String) constructor is deprecated and that Job.getInstance(Configuration, String) is recommended instead (it's a factory method).
Job (Apache Hadoop Main 2.7.0 API)
You can leave your code as is -- it's just a deprecation warning, or you can change it as follows:
Job job = new Job(getConf(), "my receipts");
Job job = Job.getInstance(getConf(), "my receipts");
cheers and hope that helps
