Yarn showing low number of cores in Mapr Control Center

I'm referring to the following snapshot from the control panel:

Why does CPU's total say 4 cores?

The cluster has 3 nodes, each having 16gb of ram and an 8 core processor. Here is what my yarn-site.xml looks like (note that I mimicked the settings from a Google search):

  <!-- :::CAUTION::: DO NOT EDIT ANYTHING ON OR ABOVE THIS LINE -->

  <property>

    <name>yarn.nodemanager.resource.memory-mb</name>

    <value>10240</value>

  </property>

  <property>

    <name>yarn.scheduler.minimum-allocation-mb</name>

    <value>2048</value>

  </property>

  <property>

    <name>yarn.nodemanager.vmem-pmem-ratio</name>

    <value>2.1</value>

  </property>

</configuration>

I'm still learning about how to configure yarn properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
