Spark’s machine learning (ML) library goal is to make practical machine learning scalable and easy.

In the next Free Code Friday Live on July 1, 2016, you’ll get an overview of machine learning with Apache Spark’s MLlib, and you’ll also learn how MLlib decision trees can be used to predict flight delays.  During this machine learning tutorial you will:

  • Explore three machine learning techniques
    • Classification
    • Clustering
    • Collaborative filtering
  • Understand what a typical machine learning classification workflow looks like
  • Learn how to predict flight delays with Apache Spark MLlib decision trees
    • Includes a coding example, which you can download and try out on your own
