I have completed on demand ESC 100 and ESC 101, it does not update as complete on my profie
Does MapR issue completion certificate ?
Where can I find lab excercise?
It's recommended that you do the labs when instructed to do so. However, you may choose to finish the course, and then go back and do the labs after.
Hi Mushtaq Chaviwala,
In order for a course to be marked as "Complete" you must view all the materials and pass all the quizzes with 70% or above. Once you have done this, a certificate will be issued and can be downloaded from your profile.
According to your records, a certificate has been issued for ESS 100, but you have not viewed all the materials for ESS 101 yet. Please let me know if you are still having difficulty accessing your certificates.
There are no lab activities for the ESS courses. If you would like to try hands-on labs, you can take one of our ADM, DEV, or DA courses.
Thanks I was able to see both certificate for ESS course, now I am at ADM200 course 1.2 and it says refer to lab guide for instruction , were can I find the lab for audit the cluster.
Shall I continue to ADM 200 to 1.3.2 pre install test or should first complete audit the cluster lab.
Sorry to bother you again, I would love to do the lab in ADM 200 course, but cant find the link to lab exercise.
Your assistant is highly appreciated.
When you are on the Course Overview page, the Lab Guide is located under Course Materials. I hope this helps!
What you recommend about installing MapR for the lab test:
VM on my PC ( I do have VM running on my desktop and with single node)
Amazon AWS ( need to explore -looks paid service)
Mushtaq Chaviwala if you have the resources (at least 6GB of RAM, but ideally more), a VM on your PC is a great way to run the labs in the course. You are right that AWS is a paid service, but it requires fewer resources on your local machine. See also: Local Hadoop unit test solution ?
I do have amazon AWS free basic service as trial period for 12 month, do you have any document to help to start with installation.
Is it the right approach to get going:
Hadoop pseud node
Hadoop Multiple Node
The AWS Documentation is always kept up to date. Deborah Littlefield may have further recommendations for getting started with AWS; however, AWS is constantly being updated, so it's best to refer to their documentation.
Please discard my previous message, I was able to figure out about the lab exercise and found lab guide to help me.
