Impossible to install :( -- MapR 5.1 stops at 50% saying 'configure.sh failed with error 1' -- no log there

We are trying to install MapR (latest version) in a HP proliant DL360 G4P server with 8 GB RAM attached to a raid 6, 12 disk array with 1.3 Tb running lubuntu 14.2.

First it kept saying it was unable to format it, or that the node does not meet the prerequisites. So we removed everything, reinstalled, and now it goes up to 50% and then stops saying configure.sh failed with error 1; check /opt/mapr/logs/configure.log Problem is there is NO log there

We have an enterprise license with 1 year support and we sent an email to support@mapr.com but got no answer (maybe because we sent it on a sunday?).

We already have one server with and identical OS and hardware installed except for the fact it's just a 74 Gb disk.

The disk array works fine: we tried it before with a windows 2008 server and even MapR it finds it ok.

The only log we are able to obtain is the one attached, which does not say much I'm afraid

Any ideas?
