How are MapR exams delivered?

Question asked by gfluitt Employee on Dec 4, 2015

MapR delivers certification exams online using a proctoring service from Innovative Exams. This means you can take your exam anytime, anywhere, on your own computer. You don't have to travel to a testing center to take a MapR Certification exam.

You must have a stable internet connection, a webcam, and quiet, uninterrupted environment to take your exam. You can check your system for compatibility here.

You have to schedule your exam at least 24 hours in advance. When it's time to take your exam you will log back in to the testing platform, share your webcam and desktop with a testing proctor, and the proctor will start your exam for you.

Most exams are 2 hours in duration. You will be proctored by a professional exam proctor for the entire exam session.

You are not allowed to use external resources during your test, and if the test proctor suspects that you are receiving help or using external resources (such as a mobile phone or a book) the proctor will ask you to scan the room with your web cam. If the proctor finds that you violated any testing policies, they will shut down your exam.

Once you have completed the exam you will receive a score and your results will be updated on your learner profile at learn.mapr.com
