Hi, I am trying to create a small MapR cluster for testing on Redhat.
Can we use SAN storage for MapR? If we can, what steps do I need to follow before starting the MapR installation in Redhat?
You can use SAN storage with MapR. MapR just requires block devices visible through the OS. So if you mount your SAN storage as a raw block device it will work with MapR.
That said you will usually not get the same excellent performance that MapR provides with local disks if you use SAN storage.
