Ubuntu 16.04 will be released in a couple of days here. What sort of time horizon will MapR have before it supports running on this release?
Thank you for the question and the heads up. MapR typically couples OS certifications with the a release test cycle. IN this case, we will consider the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS support as part of our future test cycles. Depending upon the OS, we certify existing releases with the new OS as well.
I'm working on getting you an answer John.
Can we get an update on when support for 16.04 can be expected?
Thanks Anoop. The reason I ask is related to the Ubuntu decision to use systemd in 16.04. I am unclear on the details on the implementation, but working with the Mesosphere folks, it looks like 16.04 will be the first version of Ubuntu they support because DC/OS relies on systemd. Thus, if the Ubuntu packages for MapR don't use systemd now, there may be some confusion around integration with Ubuntu 16.04. (If there is a way to have a package for 16.04 that does use systemd that would be awesome)
I upgraded to 16.04 and can't get the repo for MEP-1.0.0 because of signature error [below]. Is this a result of this issue? Or is there some way to accept it and live dangerously?

MapR 5.2 does not support Ubuntu 16.04.
A warning appeared about ubuntu 16.04 support. But I continued to the installation. And finally I get the JDK error
That is most unfortunate since I was forced to upgrade in order to continue to receive security updates. Any estimate on when the next test cycle will be?
