we are presently using hive, pig and planning to migrate to MaprR so, how can we do this
RAMAMURTHY S Hello there. MapR is not exactly a substitute for Hadoop ecosystem components like Pig, Hive, etc. Ecosystems are integrated on top of MapR. Please make your requirements a little more clear for the Community to be able to assist you better.
Tug Grall Feels like this is going to come get into your turf for answering :-). Just a heads-up.
If you already have Hive and Pig scripts, they should work on a MapR cluster. Check out DA 440 - Apache Hive Essentials and DA 450 - Apache Pig Essentials from MapR Academy.
Is any seperate intigration is required for hive, pig or its inbuilt for
writing queries and working on it.
RAMAMURTHY S you will need to install Hive and Pig when you install your MapR cluster. There are instructions for how to install Hadoop ecosystem components in ADM 200 - Cluster Administration: Install a MapR Cluster.
What versions of Hive and Pig are you currently using?
