Presentation by Amit Satoor from SAP at the Big Data Everywhere conference in Redwood City, California on December 6, 2016.

"SAP HANA Vora delivers an enterprise- ready SQL engine that plugs into Apache Spark, enabling you to build rich analytical data models by extending Spark SQL. During this session, you'll find out how Vora bridges the gap between corporate enterprise data in a SAP ERP or similar transaction system and Big Data that’s enabled by new data types such as social media , sensor, and IoT data. You’ll also learn how SAP is built on top of the Spark Data Source API, to provide virtual connectivity to data in SAP S/4 ERP and BW/EDW systems. Finally, we’ll highlight existing SAP customer deployments of Vora on top of Hadoop/Spark, so you’ll pick up some key and derived best practices from these customer implementations. By the end of the session, you’ll come away with a deeper understanding of how you can use SAP HANA Vora to turn big data into actionable insights and competitive advantage for your business."
