How to Show Your Appreciation to Members

Did you like a blog post or want to express gratitude to someone for answering your question? There are many ways to show your appreciation towards members that we have in the community. Here are some ways you can thank them:

  • Endorse their skills

        Go to the person's profile by clicking his or her name. Look for the Skills section on the left box below the name and hover over any skills you wish to endorse and select          a +1 on the skill, as shown on the image. 


         You can also add any additional skills by clicking the "Endorse" button and adding any names/tags you would like to suggest. We recommend using Popular Tags.


  • Like or mark their content as correct

    - Mark Correct [Questions Only]

       - Mark as Helpful

       - Like the content


  • Give them a badge

         Either on the content piece you like or in the person's profile, go over the Actions menu in the content and select "Give a Badge."

         You can select from 5 different type of badges:


         Add a personal message and consider sharing some of your points to make it count . These points will be discounted from your own, and the badge and message will be visible to anyone. When ready, click on "Give a Badge" to finalize. 


  • Stay connected: follow them

        If you like the content a member publishes, become a follower so that you get alerted on the content. To follow someone, just click Follow on his or her profile, or read these instructions. Remember to modify your email preferences to manage your email notifications.  


  • Pay it Forward

         Help a peer in your own area of expertise! Here is how: How to find questions that need answers -- help a peer out!
