Did you know there is a fast way to let the entire Converge Community know about you and your expertise?  You simply need to list your top skills under your Profile for other community members to search, recognize, and endorse you.   Below, you can learn:

How adding your skills can help you?

Similarly to how LinkedIn uses endorsement to help members find and rate each other, your profile in the community is the first tool you have to improve your reputation. People can find you based on your skills and decide to follow you, as your profile is promoted in different parts of the community.

To best utilize your skills, we suggest you use the most popular tagsas these surface across more places in the Converge Community.

How to add skills to your profile?

First, click on View Profile.

Then, you should land on your Profile page.  You can see an example below:

Please find the Skills section on the bottom of the left-hand corner.  You can add each of your top skills by clicking on the New Skill button.

IMPORTANT: Again, to best utilize your skills, we suggest you use the most popular tagsas these surface across more places in the Converge Community.

How to pay it forward and endorse someone else?

To endorse a person's skill, please go to his/her Profile and look for a '+' next to the skill you want to endorse.  Then just click on '+' to endorse the person for that skill.

If you want to endorse a skill that is not shown in that person's Profile, just click on Endorse and type in the new skill.  The person will receive a notification to ask him/her to add that new skill onto his/her profile.

Reminder: we suggest you use the most popular tags, as these surface across more places in the Converge Community.

How to find other people by their skills?

Have a question that requires a particular skill set, which you are anxious to have answered quickly? Try to search the community to see who has that particular skill set and invite the experts to answer your question.

First, you go to Browse > People > Filter by skill.  Type in the skill set you are looking for.

Then you can @Mention the experts in your question or under the comment, asking for consultation. Don't forget to thank them for their time and sharing of knowledge by endorsing them.

Please send a message to Community Manager if you have any questions about the functions mentioned above.
