For this evening, LAUNCHPAD City is providing the venue, and we are their inaugural user group event.  They are a new co-working site that I believe will be a talent concentration point for technopreneurs in the coming years.  Please take the time to find David Parkes to thank him for the use of their fine facility.

As always, we will have food and drink and great discussions.

MapR, one of our awesome sponsors, arranged for us to listen to Jatin Shah talk through a variety of concepts and ideas that surround the notion of the Connected Car.   In Jatin's words:

• Applying data science in real-time data on a connected car platform.

• Increasing numbers of enterprises are turning to Hadoop / Spark as an indispensable component for the mission-critical applications that drive their core business operations.

• Cover an in-depth level of big data and the Hadoop ecosystem. Covered are big data, details about the Hadoop core components, Spark, Lambda Architecture and demonstrate a connected car application with interesting data science models.

• Finally, we will show practical use cases of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
